Ghana Premier League club denies David Duncan's three-match ultimatum

The management of Ghana Premier League club Kumasi Asante Kotoko have denied giving coach David Duncan an ultimatum to save his job

The Porcupine Warriors are having their worst start in the Ghana Premier League for the first time since 1978, having amassed 2 points in four games and currently sit at the 14 position on the log sheet.

In view of the club’s current predicament, they held a crisis meeting on Monday at the club’s secretariat in Kumasi. According to viral media reports, coach David Duncan was given a three-match ultimatum to turn the tables around or face the sack.

But the club’s management has vehemently denied those media reports, stressing that no such decision was taken at the crisis meeting.

“Nothing like that has been said to the coach. He hasn’t been given any ultimatum” said the club spokesman.

“There’s no truth in that. Let it be known that management hasn’t given a directive of that nature to the coach,” Kwaku Ahenkorah Kotoko PRO told the club’s website.

Kotoko will host Hasaacas this Friday in Kumasi in a must win situation.
