Questions have been asked about the technical and tactical prowess of head Coach Sergio Moniz Traguil to lead the Rainbow Boys to the land of gold.
The Portuguese first nine games in his career as the successor of Kenichi Yatsushashi has been zigzag, and the club's fraternity have begun unleashing their venom at the former Kaduna United boss.
After the Phobians' one-all stalemate against Techiman City at the Accra sports stadium on Saturday -- their third game without a win, supporters went splenetic and questioned his tactics.
"Kenichi [Yatsushashi] was using these same crop of players and we were winning, why has the results changed?" an irate fan quizzed after the game.
However, his representative or agent, Carlos Moniz is adamant his client has the qualities required to the lead the club and blamed the poor structure constructed for Sergio.
"Coach Sergio is a great person on and off the pitch. His characteristics about football is great and he is an excellent professional who is very responsible, very ambitious and very knowledgeable," Mr. Moniz began in an interview with Pulse.com.gh.
"He loves what he does because his greatest ambition it is to win and win always. He doesn't work for money but for the love of the profession. If he wanted money, we had attractive offers on the table for him but he chose Hearts because he loved the challenge and the only thing he wants is that, he wants to be champion at Hearts of Oak," he added.
According to him, Sergio Traguil accepted the challenge to lead the club despite uncovering shortcomings when he watched them train under his predecessor, Kenichi Yatsushashi.
"Hearts is a big club known worldwide. They are a big team, but the unfortunate thing is that it is always difficult to view games from abroad. He didn't know the team, but after watching them train under Kenichi, he told me the team lacked some things in some sectors.
"But he accepted the challenge. He accepted it knowing that he had a lot of work ahead, knowing that the team has shortcomings. You can see it in their games, the team miss unbelievable opportunities. Without Cosmos [Dauda], they cannot score goals even when they create numerous glaring opportunities. The team was poorly constructed.”
After calling on fans not to be "monsters" towards the team, he also revealed that, in Kenichi's report to the Board and Management of Hearts of Oak, the Japanese-American trainer said the team lack the qualities to finish in the top six.
"I have seen the team play a couple of times and if the players work hard, play without pressure and if the fans instead of criticizing, support and believe that, yes, we can win, the team will surely win.
"Coach Kenichi in his report to the club said that this team has no quality to be in the first six places, that is a clear. The team need more work. But I have no doubt that despite the shortcomings in some sectors the team produces very well and with the support of the supporters, they will be champions.
"The supporters should stop wanting to hurt people and support the team. They should stop being monsters. They are just one point in the first place and with these actions it only undermine the players. Already they are playing with a lot of pressure, hence, the failures in games. Without pressure and full support for the team and believe in Coach Sergio, they are going to win titles including the [CAF] Champions league. They will be stronger," he noted.
Sergio Traguil succeeded Kenichi Yatsushashi about two months ago before the start of the second round of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.
