Amartey, Schlupp and Ayew record defeats as Atsu tastes victory

A wrap on the performance of Ghanaian players on match week 4 of the English Premier League

Rapahael Dwamena was on the verge of joining newly promoted side Brighton & Hove Albion but the deal fell through due to medical issues.

We move on to how Ghanaian players fared in week 4 in the Premier League.

The first game with a Ghanaian was one between Leicester City and Chelsea at the King Power Stadium.

Daniel Amartey was an unused sub in that fixture as his side lost to 2-1 to the champions at home.

The next day had a lineup of two games which had three Ghanaian interests in there.

The first game had a decent performance form Jeffery Schlupp who played through the entire duration of the game at left-back for Crystal Palace. That was not enough to as the Eagles lost their fourth game on the trot this season. Burnley beat Crystal Palace by 1-0.

The next had Swansea with Jordan Ayew who played the entire 90 minutes for the Wales club as they were at home to Christian Atsu’s Newcastle.

Christian Atsu came on in the 59th minute as his side piped Swansea with a 1-0 victory to the dismay of Jordan Ayew and his teammates.
