He went on to say that he was better than Yahaya in all aspects of the game and Yahaya Mohammed also replied, so all eyes were on these two players. They lived up to the expectation,as they made the race for the goal king a tough contest and a two house race. Transforming from a typical ball joggler into a goalscoring machine

Latif Blessing's idol in football is Lionel Messi, becasue they have a resemblance in their play-they both dribble well with the ball. Similar to Lionel Messi who added goalscoring to his dribbles by finishing on top of the scorer's chart in La Liga on many occasions, Latif Blessing who wasn't scoring plenty of goals previously made it a target to graduate and be a clinical finisher infront of goal. Scoring 17 goals as a midfielder is not just mean an achievement as an attacking midfielder in a league that 13 goals have even made a player a topscorer, before-2003-Shaibu Yakubu and Kwadwo Poku. His remarkable goalscoring feat spoke for him when competing with the other nominees for the Best Player of the Season.
