A vibrant women's league contributed to 5-0 Algeria trashing - Linear Addy

Speaking to Radio XYZ in Accra, Executive Committee Member who doubles as Chairperson of the National Women’s League Linear Addy emphasized that the Princesses had little preparation period prior to the game at Algiers.

However, due to the active competition in the National Women’s League, the ladies were able to go out there and get the result.

The National Women’s League run from the 29th of April to the 16th of September 2017.

“You realize that the ladies had little time to camp for the qualifiers, if they had not been playing in the league, we would have to spend much more time in getting them in shape for this match.

“Due to the league being consistent in addition to the ladies listening to few instructions from their coaches, we were able to go out there with the little camping period and make an impact.”

“All the Princesses needto do is come back in the second leg to seal the qualification.”

“In future, whenwehopefullyqualifyfortheWorld Cup wecanmakea meaningfulimpact.”

“In future, when we hopefully qualify for the World Cup we can make a meaningful impact.”

The Black Princesses will face Algeria for the 2nd leg in Ghana on the 29th of September, 2017.

The Princesses will then play the winners of the two legged tie between Ethiopia and Kenya in November. Going past the November duel will put them one step closer to the 2018 u-20 World Cup in France.
