Dr. Nashiru Issahaku new governor of the Bank of Ghana

Prior to his appointment as Second Deputy Governor in 2013, Dr Abdul –Nashiru Issahaku was the acting Chief Executive Officer of Export Development and Agricultural Investment Fund (EDAIF).

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Abdul-Nashiru Issahaku as Governor of the Bank of Ghana, replacing resigned governor, Dr. Henry Kofi Wampah.

Dr. Issahaku has also worked with the African Development Bank and World Bank.

Dr Issahaku holds a Masters in Agric Economics and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Georgia.He worked as a Governance Expert at the State University of New York, Center for International Studies.
