Forward reveals Didier Drogba convinced him to join Chelsea

Eden Hazard has revealed that he was convinced to join Chelsea by veteran striker, Didier Drogba.

The forward has been a pivotal part of Chelsea's English Premier League winning team, and was also voted the PFA PLyaer of the Year.

Chelsea however have Drogba to thank for Eden Hazard choosing to sign for Chelsea from Lille.

"I didn’t want to go to Chelsea because I wanted to play in the Champions League and they were sixth in the league,” Hazard told .

"I was convinced by the Champions League in 2012.‘At the time, Roberto Di Matteo really wanted me, they had and had been bought. I was told: ‘You’ll see, Chelsea will play football.

" called me and said: ‘Someone’s on the phone’. I didn’t know who it was, but it was Drogba, he wanted me to sign.

"I was flattered. In my head I wasn’t going to sign, but in the end I was very pleased with my choice."
