Tickets for boxing match sold out in 60 seconds

The tickets for the much anticipated Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao fight on Saturday, May 2 sold out within a minute of going on sales on Thursday, April 23.

Tickets for the richest bout in boxing history went on sale few minutes after 8pm Nigerian time (12 noon in Las Vegas where the fight will hold),

The price of the ticket on StubHub went for a whopping $128,705 (N25.6).

About only 500 to 1,000 tickets were made available to boxing fans for the mega-fight in May

The fans purchased the tickets on and which all experienced issues before the deadline due to high traffic.

Prices for the tickets  began at $1,500 (N298,500) up to $7,500 (1.4m) per seat.

Prospective buyers were limited to four tickets per person.

Those lucky enough to secure a seat for the mega-fight via Ticketmaster will have to collect them in person from Wednesday, April 29 from a designated collection point in Las Vegas.

Super-ringside tickets which cost $10,000 (N2m) were not released for public sale with several sources saying that the seats would be sold on black market for celebrities and high proflie boxing fans for $200,000 (N39.8m).
