Barcelona striker says Lionel Messi is 'the best in the world'

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has branded his teammate, Lionel Messi, the 'best in the world' after the Argentine's heroics in 3-0 win over Bayern Munich on Wednesday, May 6.

Messi scored a brace on the night, the second after ridiculously dribbling Bayern defender, Jérôme Boateng to the ground.

After the game, Suarez took to Instagram to praise his teammate, Messi.

"Vamossss !! What a good win and hard work of the whole team !!!! I leave a picture with the best in the world !!!!!" the former Liverpool striker wrote alongside a photo of him and Messi.

Gerard Pique, Javier Mascherano and Sergio Busquets also praised Lionel Messi after he inspired all them to the trashing of  Pep Guardiola's men.

"You cannot stop Messi, he scored two fantastic goals, especially the second. We are so lucky to have him," said Pique.

"We have Messi so advantage for us, no? It was a very tight game but we had the best chances to score."When you press high you take risks and we have a lot of people who can punish you. Messi is a player who it is impossible to describe," Mascherano said.

While Sergio Busquets added: "Messi is a guarantee. He's the best player in the world, even if he doesn't get the awards. Everyone in football knows."
