NFL Twitter hacked, reports Goodell’s fake death
The NFL's Twitter account was hacked on Tuesday, leading to a false announcement of the death of commissioner Roger Goodell.
There was widespread shock when a tweet from the league's official account mourned the apparent passing of Goodell, at the age of 57, although the message in question was deleted within minutes.

A league spokesman quickly released a tweet of his own confirming the commissioner is actually still alive.
Brian McCarthy's tweet read: "The @nfl Twitter account was hacked. @nflcommish is alive and well."

However, the hackers continued their shenanigans, with further tweets - again swiftly deleted - that read: "Oi, I said Roger Goodell has died. Don't delete that tweet." and "OK, OK, you amateur detectives win. Good job."
