Brazilian legend to play for former club, New York Cosmos in historic match in Cuba
Brazilian football legend, Pele has arrived Cuba where he is set to take part in a game for his former club, New York Cosmos.
With his glittering football career almost coming to an end, Pele moved to the New York Cosmos in America where he played for two years.
He was credited with significantly increasing public awareness and interest in soccer in the United States and Pele is now playing another role by appearing in a match for the club.
The New York Cosmos will on Tuesday, June 2 become the first U.S. professional team to play in Cuba since Presidents Raul Castro and Barack Obama announced that they were re-establishing diplomatic relations.
The friendly match is being organised Cuba's national team to foster the relationship between the U.S and Cuba.
