'Kingsman' actress is joining 'Star Trek 3'

Sofia Boutella is taking on a lead role in the upcoming 13th Star Trek film.

The Kingsman: The Secret Service's actress is joining the project in a yet to be revealed role.

Sofia will be joining the returning cast

Directed by Justin Lin (Fast & Furious) the Star Trek movie will arrive in cinemas on July 8 2,016.

There were earlier reports that Idris Elba is in negotiations to play the villain in the upcoming movie.
