American singer, Solange Knowles, has been hit with a tax dept running into $55,000 (N10m).

According to , the state of California sent a notice to the singer, just three days after she tied the knot with her man, Alan Ferguson, in November.

The debt has been acknowledged by the state government for the years between 2010-2012.
