Fox cancels series after 3 seasons

After three years on screen, TV series 'The Following' has been cancelled by FOX network.

The serial killer drama will come to an end with the two-hour season three finale, set to air in the US on May 18.

The Kevin Williamson-created series debuted to strong numbers two years ago, but took a different turn afterwards.

Starring Kevin Bacon, 'The Following' revolves around determined FBI agent Ryan Hardy, who spent years tracking down serial killers, led by Joe Carroll (James Purefoy).
