Top American model welcomes first child

Television personality, Tyra Banks is now a mother.

She and her photographer boyfriend, Erik Asla have welcomed their son via surrogate.

The ex-model made the announcement on her Instagram page saying, “The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here,” she wrote. “He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.”

This is officially going to be her first motherhood experience according to US Magazine, and it is happening with her Norwegian boyfriend of two years.

Banks has had a very successful career as a model, having being the first African American to cover GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

She also made short appearances in the movie scene, while shuffling with TV hosting of the Tyra Banks Show.
