UK firms willing to invest in Ghana -UK trade envoy

In a statement detailing discussions he held with the UK Chamber of Commence at the Flagstaff House, the Vice President quoted the the leader of the delegation as saying the Akufo-Addo administration has a "positive, private sector drive agenda.

UK firms are ready to invest in the Ghanaian economy to take advantage of President Nana Akufo-Addo's pro-business policies, Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has said.

In a statement detailing discussions he held with the UK Chamber of Commence at the Flagstaff House, the Vice President quoted the the leader of the delegation as saying the Akufo-Addo administration has a "positive, private sector drive agenda."

“The policies and budget of the Akufo-Addo government have a positive, private sector-driven agenda and the UK is ready to help the government achieve its aims and targets”, leader of the delegation, Adam Afriyie MP, Trade Envoy for UK Prime Minister Theresa May said.

“The environment is very refreshing. In the past it has been difficult for me to recommend that UK firms invest in Ghana. But so far it’s been good, and long may it continue,” he added.
