9 students arrested after clashes between Chemu SHS and Tema Technical Institute

Police said that a student from Chemu was rushed to Narh-Bita hospital with a fractured arm on Wednesday after some students from TTI allegedly attacked them.

The Tema Regional Police PRO, ASP Joseph Benefo Darkwa told Accra-based Joy FM that more students have been arrested following hints of a reprisal.

He said that early Friday morning, the police had intelligence that due to what happened the previous day, the students from Chemu are regrouping to cause mayhem.

The police were, therefore, deployed to the scene to maintain calm.

He said that those picked up so far will be interrogated as part of investigations into the incident.
