The Nsawam Municipal Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization, Lucy Adu, who spoke to Accra-based Starr FM said "the children left the place 30 minutes before the incident. 118 pupils are affected".
She said NADMO has done an impact assessment of the situation and a report has been filed to the Municipal Assembly and the Regional Secretariat of NADMO for assistance.
She said the government must intervene as the situation has affected academic work.
Meanwhile, the disaster organization has recommended that the entire KG block is pulled down to avert any further disaster.
