Black Princesses to go into u-20 World Cup draw today

The Ghana u-20 women’s national team the Black Princesses are set to find out their opponents for the u-20 world cup today.

Ghana find themselves in the same pot with Brazil Spain and China and are looking forward to an interesting draw.

The draw will take place in Rennes,France

Vice Chairperson of the Women’s League Board Rosalind Amoh talk spoke to the media ahead of the draw. She stated that preparations towards the tournament are more important than the teams Ghana will be drawn with in one group.

“I mostly say it is not about the draw. It’s about the preparation. If you get a soft draw and you don’t prepare adequately you cannot do well.”

If you want world champions you need to beat everybody. We need to prepare well.”

She stated that preparations towards previous tournaments have not been the best

In the past our preparations have not been good.

“We wait till the last minute then we give those two weeks training abroad.”

“They don’t get to play top notch international friendlies.”

The u20 World Cup starts from 5 to 24 August
