Sports Minister unveils LOC for 2018 African Women Cup of Nations

The Sports Minister has unveiled the Local Organisation Committee for the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations.

Sports Minister, Honourable Isaac Asiamah has unveiled the Local Organization Committee for the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations to be hosted in Ghana.

Asiamah unveiled the 11 member committee in Accra with the chairperson being Honourable Freda Akosua Prempeh. Vice Chairman of the Local Organising Committee is Fred Crentsil.

Linear Addy of the Ghana Football Association and Black Queens management Chairperson is also a member this committee.

The African Women’s Cup of Nations will be held on November 7, 2018 to December 1, 2018.

Speaking to the media after the unveiling, Chairperson of the committee stated that the Cape Coast Stadium and the Accra Sports Stadiuma are going to be venues for the tournament.

She also gave the assurance that her team was going to work hard to host a successful tournament and hinted at Ghana looking at a host and win situation.

“We are going to work hard and bring the hosting to fruition. I can assure the citizenry we involve all those who matter. In the interim will we re-exam the stadia, sponsorship, security, transportation and accommodation."
