Government postpones meeting with FIFA indefinitely

The government of Ghana will no longer meet FIFA delegation on Thursday.

A meeting was scheduled for Thursday between the government of Ghana led by the Minister for Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah and a three man delegation from FIFA in an attempt resolve the row between the GFA and government.

The government of Ghana has put football activities on hold and has also secured an injunction to stop the GFA from performing its day to day running of football in the country in response to Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ expose’ that has unraveled several rots in the beautiful game.

The government of Ghana is determined to dissolve the GFA and has subsequently formed a five-man committee to oversee the affairs of football in the country.

A meeting was scheduled for Thursday between FIFA and a Ghanaian delegation comprising government and GFA members, but it has been called off.

“The meeting has been postponed, for now, till further notice “, Elvis Agyei Baah told Graphic online.

“Well, we have craved the indulgence of FIFA to postpone that meeting so that it will afford us more time to satisfy our internal process and consultations”.
