Deputy Minister throws shade at Asamoah Gyan over Congo chartered flight

Sports Minister makes harsh reference to Gyan chattering a flight for Black Stars.

The Stars beat Congo 5-1 in the 2018 World Cup qualifying game and some few players needed to reportedly make it to their clubs in time in order to avoid facing serious penalties from their clubs.

“Alhaji Sly Tetteh can produce a player like Asamoah Gyan who on his own can decide to charter a flight from Congo when government have made enough and adequate preparations. If he didn’t have that money, he would not have been able to spend it.”

The Ahlaji Sly Tetteh Lecture was held at the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra.

The event was in memory of the late Ahlaji Sly Tetteh who founded Liberty Professionals.

The club has produced stars like Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and current Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan who have made Ghana proud on the World Stage.
