Ghana Football honors the late Ahlaji Sly Tetteh in Legacy Lecture

The founder of Dansoman based Liberty Professionals, Alhaji Sly Tetteh has been honoured

It was at the elegant and plush Tang Palace Hotel in Accra where the Alhaji Sly Tetteh Legacy Lecture was held.

Sports Life which is a group of stakeholders in Ghana Sports which include Sports ministers, sports administrators,sports journalists and sports enthusiasts  of both past and present were the organizers of the event.

Chairman of the event was former FA Chairman of the Ghana Football Association LEPOWURA ALHAJI M.N.D JAWULA

The main speaker on the day was the President of the Ghana Football Association Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi. Mr Nyantakyi took the guests through the Late Ahlaji Sly Tetteh's life and growth in football.

Mr Nyantakyi did go on to talk about the Late Sly Tetteh's football legacy in relation to the football club Alhaji Tetteh originated Liberty Professionals. He did highlight that players who emerged from the club contributed to Ghana's qualification and glittering performance in the 2006 and 2010 world cups.

Players who have came through the club Liberty Professionals include Sulley Mintari,Michael Essien and the current captain of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan.

Gyan sent a message in a video from his club Kayserispor in Turkey in honor of the late Ahlaji Sly Tetteh

The Guest of Honour was CAF President Ahmad Ahmad also gave some few words to honor Alhaji Sly Tetteh

Deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzide stood in for the Special Guest Sports Minister  Honourable Isaac Asiamah

Aisha Johanson the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association was also present to share her memories of Alhaji Sly Tetteh. Mrs Johansen which could not hide her heartfelt emotions in the process as she shed a few tears.

A few presentations were made to the President of Liberty Professionals Felix Ansong, Charles James Aryin-Former head of liberty and the family of Alhaji Sly Tetteh.

Alhaji Sly Tetteh had died on the 3rd of September leaving behind two wives and seven children.
