The North Africans sit top of their Group with 12 points – a whopping six points ahead of the Black Stars and four ahead of second-placed Uganda.
However, despite qualification already wrapped up, Egypt coach Hector Cuper insists his side will take the game against the Black Stars very serious.
He explained there is the temptation to try out new players, but the Pharaohs will not play it soft against their West African opponents.
Speaking at a news conference, Cuper said: “We are taking Ghana’s match very seriously to keep the momentum going although it doesn’t matter because we qualified already.
“It is very hard to try new players in official fixtures. The player has to adapt to my style of play. We try to call up players who can adapt to my style of play as much as possible.
“We have a back-bone for this team. We may change some things in the upcoming period but we are facing a problem, which is lack of time before official matches start.”
The Black Stars will host Egypt on Sunday at the Cape Coast stadium, with pride all there is to play for on the part of the Ghanaians.
