Nana Addo appoints Edward Kwapong as Fair Wages boss

The FWSC has been without a Chief Executive since George Smith-Graham resigned from the post in February this year.

Dr. Edward Kwapong has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC).

The experienced HR practitioner was appointed to the role by President Akufo-Addo on Monday, September 23, 2017.

He was taken around the office of the FWSC by the Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Honorable Bright Wireko-Brobbey, who introduced him to some staff members of the Commission.

Dr. Kwapong has a wide range of experience working at Human Resource firms and has previously served as the General Manager at the Human Resources Division of Ghana Commercial Bank, as well as the occupying the role of Chief Executive of consultancy firm HR Perspective Ltd.

He is also a graduate of the Solihull College, Birmingham, where he had his Post Graduate Certificate in Job Evaluation and holder of a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Ghana.

Dr. kwapong is also very knowledgeable in legal issues, having specialised in Labour and Industrial Law as a Barrister at Law.
