Black Stars coach Avram Grant says he doesnt rue his decision to hand Asamoah Gyan a starting berth in Ghanas 0-1 defeat against Egypt on Wednesday,
Gyan, 31 limped off on Wednesday, after picking up an in injury in the first half and was subsequently replaced by Jordan Ayew, his usual strike partner, as Ghana suffered a 0-1 defeat against Egypt, courtesy of Mohamed Salah's freekick in the 11th minute.

Asamoah Gyan has left the camp of the Black Stars to Libreville to take a scan to ascertain the extent of his injury.

Gyan is in danger of missing Ghana's quarter finals tie against DR Congo in Oyem on Sunday,
And many people think that Grant should have given the aging talisman of the Black Stars, who has been injury prone in recent time a rest, since Ghana had already qualified for the quarter finals, ahead of the Egypt tie.

The Israeli, however, says he has no regret for starting Asamoah Gyan against Egypt.
“After the game against Uganda then maybe I wouldn’t need to start with Baba Rahman also.
“Gyan has had a lack of games in the last half a year and he felt very good and wanted to play.”
“The plan was again to let him play 60 minutes, but what has happened has happened and this is football,” he added
