Fatau Dauda has earned a late call-up to replace Adam Kwarasey in the Black Stars AFCON 2017 squad, after the latter opted out of the tournament due to illness.
Dauda, 31, was part of the Black Stars squad that started the unofficial training program at the St. Aquinas School Park last weekend, but he couldn't make the cut for Avram Grant's provisional 26-man squad announced on Monday.

However, he has earned late call-up in the absence of Kwarasey.
"I received a call yesterday (Tuesday) from Alex Asante (deputy general secretary of the GFA) that I should prepare and come to the camp of the Black Stars, because Adam Kwarasey is ill, so he has declined to join the team for the AFCON," Dauda told Accra-based Happy FM.
"I will be travelling to Dubai either today (Wednesday January 4) or tomorrow (Thursday January 5)."
