The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Sannie Daara insists that the 22 players who showed up for training on Wednesday at the St Aquinas Senior High School Park are not necessary the players who might be named in Avram Grants provisional list for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

22 players were at training as the Black Stars began its local training session at St Aquinas on Wednesday ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

However, Sannie Daara has indicated that some of the names might not feature in Grant's list for the AFCON and has therefore explained why the list has delayed.

''This is not an official training. As we know, our official training starts when the teams are supposed to release their players for the official training and that according to the law is 14 days before the tournament starts,'' Daara told the media at Wednesday training.
