Maxwell Konadu is set to take over from Avram Grant on an interim basis, as the Ghana Football Association (GFA) hunts for a substantive coach for the Black Stars.
Grant, whose current contract with the Black Stars expires in February ending on Tuesday announced his decision to move elsewhere, after Ghana's poor display in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)- finished 4th.
Pulse Sports understands that his assistant Maxwell Konadu will be named as the acting coach until the appointment of substantive technical head for the Black Stars.
The former Asante Kotoko coach joined the technical bench of the Black Stars in 2012 and following the sack of Kwesi Appiah in 2014, he was asked to act as the head coach, before Avram Grant was handed the lack Stars coaching job in late 2014.
Konadu has been with the Black Stars in three Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)-2013, 2015 and 2017 and was with the team during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
