Nduom to name female running mate

Nduom said that the party was putting everything in place to ensure that the running mate plays an influential role in the campaign of the party

The flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, will officially name his running mate on Thursday, August 4, 2016.

Dr. Nduom revealed the nominee is a female from the Eastern region but not a member of the party.

The National Executive Committee of the party in broad consultation with the party’s flag bearer are to endorse one of the candidates who will be named on Thursday.

Nduom said that the party was putting everything in place to ensure that the running mate plays an influential role in the campaign of the party to win the 2016 polls.

He said the PPP was only interested in polls that focuses on which of the presidential candidates would perform better when given the mandate to govern the country.

Meanwhile, he predicted that the elections will go into a runoff.

"Absolutely, the elections will go into a second round. I am sure that if we get our things right there will be three pots and we will figure out at the end which three would move up," he noted.
