Asamoah Gyan's arrival takes over Chinese news

Asamoah Gyanhas arrived at the Pudong Airport to a huge crowd as he nears the completion of his mega move to ambitious Chinese club Shanghai SIPG.

Gyan touched down at Pudong at half past 3pm local time to a rapturous reception.

Asamoah Gyan has dominated various Television headlines in China.

The player who is expected to put pen to paper on a deal is said to be worth a whooping $250,000 a week, making him one of the best paid footballers in the world.

Shangahi SIPG see the signing of Gyan as the perfect answer to crosstown neighbours and perennial power house Shangai Shenhua  who have acquired Senegalese goal machine Demba Ba and also parade Australian legend Tim Cahill in their front line.
