Olympics beat Sogakofe WAFA
Accra Great Olympics beat West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) to survive their relegation battle on  match week 28 of the First Capital Plus Bank Premier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Wonder Club won their second game in three games; haven drawn last week against Edubiase.
Skipper Godwin Attram scored on 50th minute to give Frank Achempong's side all three points to move them a step further above relegation.
The alacrity with which the ‘Dade Boys’ approached the game showed their intent to stay in the premier league, and their efforts paid dividends.
WAFA were their usual best; playing good football, but Olympics looked too strong and good to match them boot -for - boot.
Both sides created good goal scoring chances, but neither side could find the back of the net in the first half of the game.
Olympics continued from where they left off in the second half and five minutes later, skipper Godwin Attram sent the spectators at the Accra sports stadium frenzy.
Olympics had opportunity to give WAFA a mountain to climb with 15 minutes to play, but Godwin Attram missed from the penalty spot. The missed chance gave WAFA more confidence to attack.
They probed for the needed goal and Attram made up for his penalty miss by scoring his and Olympics second of the afternoon.
Olympics kept their composure to see off the game and keep their relegation survival chances alive.
