The news of the animal is said to have thrown communities near Ghana’s border with Burkina Faso into a state of pandemonium.
However, the District Chief Executive officer of the area, Gum Kofi Duaka, has taken a tour of the communities along the border and called for police reinforcement.

It is however unclear if the Forestry Commission or the Ghana Wildlife Society have been called in as well.
Ghana’s parks and wildlife reserves continue to be heavily encroached on by humans.
