Sammy Kuffour holds his mother in a high esteem because she is credited for selling her television to enable the former Bayern Munich defender accomplish his dreams of becoming a footballer.

Sammy Osei Kuffour, who is a pundit on SuperSports has a building in the heart of Accra, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, named after her mum, Ateah Towers.
