The former head of the Ghana Real Estate Development Association (GREDA) who was arrested for SIM Box fraud last year January has been sentenced to two years imprisonment.
The court also ordered that the accused pay a penalty of twenty four thousand cedis, failure to pay will mean serving another four months in prison.
Dr Alexander Tweneboah, and nine others were arrested by an Anti-Telecommunication Fraud taskforce in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service with support from SUBAH Info Solutions on January 15, 2015.
Items found on them during the arrest included one SIM box with a 64-slot Sim server, 4G Internet modem, and a laptop computer.
