Toure who has been in the transfer books of the former African champions is yet to join Asante Kotoko for pre-season after going AWOL for close to two months.
Prior to last season’s league, the Phobians came close to sealing a sensational move for the Ivorian born Burkinabe import but their arch-rivals Asante Kotoko outsmarted them and the 28 year-old striker joined the Kumasi based club on a two year deal.
However, in just one season into his deal, it seems the former El Gounna attacker is out of Coach David Duncan’s plan for the upcoming season.
And Hearts of Oak Public Relation Officer (PRO), Opare Addo says his outfit doors are widely open to Ahmed Toure.
“Ahmed Toure is one of the best strikers on the local scene so if he believes that he doesn’t want to have anything to do with Kotoko and he want to play for Hearts of Oak why not.
"We will give him the opportunity that is the reason why some time ago we wanted to sign him but unfortunately things didn’t work swiftly as we expected before he jumped over to Asante Kotoko,” Opare Addo told Accra-based Happy FM.
Toure last season scored 15 goals in all competition for the Asante Kotoko.
