Alhaji Raji is reported to have passed comments prior to the Medeama-Aduana Stars final group B game of the just ended G6 tournament staged at the Essipon Sports Stadium that the trophy shouldn’t go to a village like the Brong Ahafo region, which the Dormaa lads believe had a negative implication on officiating during their final 0-1 defeat to Kotoko.

Joseph Yaw Appiah, a former administrator of Bofoakwa United also from the Brong Ahafo region has led the call for clubs in the region to withdraw from GHALCA due to the disparaging remarks of RAji

“We the clubs in the Brong Ahafo have spoken to each other and have resolved to withdraw from GHALCA. How can you label those from the Brong Ahafo region as villagers? Then you go ahead to say how can others sit aloof while Aduana Stars take the G6 trophy to the village. This was confirmed to me by Albert Commey. GHALCA is an association so we are free to join and withdraw at any time.” J.Y Appiah told Happy FM.

Chief Executive Officer of Berekum Chelsea, Nana Kwame, has joined  J.Y Appiah by indicating that the club has already decided at the board level that they are withdrawing from GHALCA.
