Gospel musician Joe Mettle won the coveted "Artiste of the Year" award after seeing off competition from EL, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, MzVee and Medikal.

Joe Mettle became the first Gospel musician to win the ultimate award, "Artiste of the Year". He won two other awards; "Gospel Artiste of the Year" and "Best Male Vocalist".

In addition, Paapa Yankson was given the "Lifetime Achievement Awards" for his contribution to the High life Industry.
