AC Milan drag player to court for reducing age by 9 years

Italian Serie A side AC Milan have taken legal action against Gambian international Yusupha Yaffa who is accused of defrauding the Italian club by lying about his real age.

The African player was signed by the Rossoneri in 2013 and placed in AC Milan’s youth setup before impressing to be a regular foor the Milan U19 side.

Yusupha Yaffa has however been reported to have lied about his age, claiming he was 19 instead of his real age, 28.

The player has now been dragged to court by Italian club AC Milan for fraud.

The details of Yusupha Yaffa’s real age became a subject on social media after friends and old school mates of the player questioned his age on Facebook. The talks on the age reached AC Milan who subsequently have charged the player for fraud.

Yusupha Yaffa according to Gazzetta dello Sport claims he lost his documents on a number of occasions and said he was born on December 31, 1996 instead of November 14, 1987 when he arrived at immigration office in 2009.
