Cinemas are closed but Bloom Bar and Sand Box are opened - Sam George laments (WATCH)
According to the Ningo Prampam MP, the closure of the National Theatre and the cinemas is hurting the Creative Arts industry badly and he is shocked someone like Mark Okraku Mantey, appointed to be Deputy Minister for Creative Arts and Culture, hasn't done much about it.
"What has been Mark's input? Right now that the cinemas are closed and the creative arts can not flourish and they don't have any source of livelihood, what has Mark used his proximity to Nana Addo to do for the creative arts?
"We are not opening the cinemas and the theatres but churches are filling out the Fantasy Dome and doing programmes there, they are having church services so can't we also open the cinemas and do social distancing and observes the protocols," he added.
Sam George was speaking during an interview with Nana Aba Anamoah on Starr Chat, where he also lamented that "you've shut the cinemas but Bloom Bar is opened, go to Bloom bar now it is opened, SandBox is opened but you have shut the cinema".
