The court which was presided over by Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku found the accused, Adolf Sarpei, guilty of the offence of inserting his finger into the vagina of the victim.

Adolf, who had denied the charge at the preliminary stages of the hearing, was found guilty hence the jail term

Prosecution, Detective Inspector Kofi Atimbiri, said the victim lived with the parents at the same house with Adolf.

He indicated that the accused lured the victim to a spot where he was said to be sitting listening and to the news and inserted his fingers into the vagina of the girl.

D/Insp Atimbiri stated that during the period, the complainant who is the victim’s mother who was inside her room heard Adolf calling the victim and peeped outside and saw the accused putting his finger into the victim’s panties.

The prosecutor added that the suspect absconded from the house when he was confronted by the by the  Victim’s mother.

The complainant notified the husband, leading to the arrest of Adolf
