Couples share embarrassing wedding day photos

In honour of the hilarious new movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, Awkward Family Photos has launched an Awkward Wedding Photo Contest, which has already attracted dozens of submissions.

The aim is to have contesters share funny photo moments of their wedding.

Contest organisers wrote on their website, "We’re looking for all of those magical moments including the feuding in-laws, questionable attire, and the bizarre traditions that make the wedding day so uncomfortable."

The winner of the competition wins a $1,000 Amazon.com gift card offer, with a Born To Be Awkward book and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 merchandise.

To add humour to the pictures, is accompanied by a quick account of just what was going on in the scene of the image.

One woman, named Monica wrote, "When we were scoping out our wedding/reception location, I was really excited to learn that they had a volleyball net that could be set up."

The competition is expected to last till March 24 and winners announced the following day.
