Jerome Kaino will miss New Zealand's clash with Argentina in Buenos Aires due to a shoulder injury, the All Blacks have confirmed.

Kaino hurt his left shoulder as Steve Hansen's side beat South Africa 41-13 in Christchurch on Saturday - a result that proved enough to seal the Rugby Championship title with two games to spare.

The flanker is set to rejoin the All Blacks squad in South Africa, ahead of their final match of the tournament against the Springboks.

However, Sam Cane and Aaron Cruden will play no further part in the competition as they continue their recoveries from respective hamstring and groin injuries.

New Zealand have added Matt Todd and Damian McKenzie to their squad, while George Moala and Waisake Naholo are also included despite doubts over their fitness.

Chiefs back McKenzie must pass a concussion test before he is cleared to fly to Buenos Aires.
