The herdsmen were said to have invaded Uoosu village in the Keana Local Government Area of the state in a reprisal attack on Sunday, April 26, 2015.

11 people have reportedly died in Nasarawa state following an attack by Fulani herdsmen.

They were also said to have burnt down buildings in the village and laid ambush on the Keana-Korta Road, where they shot at people on sight.
The attack is said to have been launched in revenge for the murders of two Fulani herdsmen who were allegedly killed while their cattle grazed on a Tiv man’s farm in Benue State.
The incident has been confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ismaila Numan who however said that only three people had been killed.
Another reprisal attack related to the same incident is said to have left 28 people dead in Benue.
