President Mahama promotes officers

The President has promoted DCOP Ransford Ninson and DCOP Beatrice Vib-Sanziri to the rank of Commissioner of Police. ACP Vincent Redeemer Dedjoe has also been promoted to Deputy Commissioner of Police. The promotion took effect on June 1, 2016.

President John Dramani Mahama, has promoted two police officers to the rank of Commissioner of Police, upon the recommendation of the Police Council.

The two are the Director-General Administration COP/Mr. Ransford Ninson and Director-General Human Resource Development COP/Mrs. Beatrice Vib-Sanziri.

The appointment took effect from August 1, 2016.

By this promotion, COP Beatrice Vib-Sanziri becomes the second serving female Commissioner of Police, after COP Rose Bio Atinga.

She also becomes the fifth woman Commissioner of Police the Ghana Police Service have had till date.

In a related development, the Volta Regional Police Commander, ACP Vincent Redeemer Dedjoe has also been promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police.
