Medeama beat WAFA 2-1

Benjamin Batture was the hero in Takwa when it seemed both sides will settle for a point at the Takwa T and A park.

There was nothing to separate both sides until he stepped up and stole the show.

WAFA, tipped as the dark horses to clinch the premier league title, were on a mission of causing an upset to keep the pundits hopes of getting the right calls. They stepped onto the pitch and went about their business with calm and composure.

They quickly got their noses in front in the 20th minute through Mumuni Zakaria who was a nemesis for Medeama all afternoon, but leading FCPL goal poacher, Nathanial Asamoah struck his 18th goal from the spot on the 33rd minute to draw Medeama level.

Both sides rose up and gave fans an end-to-end action. Medeama needed a good result badly to avoid dropping to the relegation zone and gave their all to give WAFA a tough game.

Their efforts finally paid dividends when Batture Benjamin gave them all points with a beautiful goal to win it on the 83rd minute.
