The national u-20 side the Black Satellites have been announced to start the 2019 u-20 African Cup of Nations qualifiers from the 2 round.
Ghana will skip the first round as part of the 16 teams seeded to enter the qualifying series from the 2 round.

Satellites will have to skip the first round and wait to face the winner of the home and away tie between Algeria and Tunisia which happens in March.
Ghana will face the winner of this tie between 11-13 May and 18-20 May, 2018.
The Satellites won the u-20 African and World Cup in 2009 and have only won bronze in the 2013 u-20 World Cup since then.

Ghana failed to qualify for the 2017 u-20 African Cup of Nation after getting eliminated by Senegalin the 2016 qualifiers.
