Ghana international Andre Ayew could have a new manager at Swansea City in the coming days as the Wales club prepares to appoint former Udinese manager Francesco Guidolin.
Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins is in talks with the 60-year-old and Francesco Guidolin is expected to work alongside caretaker manager Alan Curtis until the end of the current season.
Andre Ayew’s side sacked Garry Monk at the end of last year after the club’s abysmal form and put Alan Curtis in charge as caretaker boss.
Swansea City later confirmed Curtis will take over first team duty as interim boss until the end of the season but a spokesman for the club said:
“Talks are on-going right now but we hope to have things finalized in the early part of the week for him [Guidolin] to take his position before next weekend’s game.”
Ahead of Swansea City’s game against Watford at the Liberty Stadium tonight, Ayew’s side are 18th on the Premier League log with 19 points from 21 games.
Francesco Guidolin is expected to be at the game between Swansea City and Watford at the Liberty Stadium tonight.
