Suspended National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko has filed an appeal challenging his suspension by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.
In a statement signed by the spokesperson for Afoko, Nana Yaw Osei, it indicated that the appeal was filed on Monday (August 22).

Afoko has been in court challenging a suspension handed down to him by the NPP’s Disciplinary Committee for alleged misconduct.
The suspended Chair had earlier described his suspension as unconstitutional and a breach of natural justice.
But the Human Rights Division of the Accra High Court on Monday, August 15, 2016, dismissed the suit.

According to the judgment of the presiding judge, Justice Anthony Yeboah, the suspension of Mr. Afoko was just, lawful and fair.
He further added that the procedure used for the suspension was right and was not breached in any way by the NPP.
