GFA introduces Kwesi Appiah to Sports Ministry
The Ghana Football Association on Monday introduced the new Black Stars coach to the Ministry of Youth and Sports
Appiah was appointed last month as the replacement for Avram Grant as Black Stars coach on his return to the team.
The GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi was accompanied by his Vice President George Afriyie when they formally introduced Kwesi Appiah to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah and Pious Enam Hadzide, the deputy sector minister about the appointment of the former Black Stars skipper as coach of the senior national male football team of Ghana.
The GFA appointed the 56-year-old following a public outcry for a local coach last month, but he is yet to be out-doored in the upcoming days, before he starts work on May 1.
Kwesi Appiah was the first indigene to qualify the Black Stars for the FIFA World Cup in 2014, but he was sacked following a poor World Cup campaign.
